Who We Are Al-Tanweer Training Center is Bahrain's first institution to offer Islamic training programs in English. It was established to serve Muslim communities who wish to deepen their religious knowledge in English, at a genuine scholarly level. Our Mission Many Muslims in English-speaking environments find it difficult to access serious religious content in their language. Al-Tanweer was established to bridge that gap — offering structured training programs built on sound scholarly foundations, presented in a clear and accessible way that speaks to the trainee's everyday life. What We Offer Our programs are designed for trainees at all levels and age groups: — Jurisprudence (Fiqh) — rulings on worship and everyday matters — Islamic Theology (Aqeedah) — a study of the fundamentals of Islamic belief — Prophetic Biography (Seerah) — the life of the Prophet ﷺ and its lessons — Ethics and Character — developing the spiritual and moral dimension — Arabic Language — for those wishing to engage directly with Islamic texts Our Approach Our programs are built on accredited scholarly sources and delivered by qualified instructors who understand the trainee's context and engage with their real questions. Our goal is to develop Muslims who are grounded in their identity and confident in their knowledge of their religion. Why Tanweer? Tanweer means enlightenment — a name that reflects our purpose. We want every trainee who comes through our doors to leave carrying genuine knowledge that illuminates their path and strengthens their sense of belonging. "Say: Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" — Surah al-Zumar, 39:9
